1. ISOMETRIC VIEW AND ISOMETRIC PROJECTION. ................6 Hours
Prism, Pyramid, Cylinder, Cone and examples of simple solid objects/models.
2. SECTIONAL VIEWS OF SOLIDS, TRUE SHAPE OF A SECTION................6 Hours
Home assignments will be given.
3. RIVET HEADS, RIVETED JOINTS................3 Hours
Rivet heads, types, lap-joint, butt joint - single / double cover plates.
4. THREADS, NUT-BOLT................6 Hours
BSW and Metric threads, hexagonal and square headed bolts/nuts.
5. DEVELOPMENT OF SURFACES................3Hours
Cube, Prism, Cylinder, Truncated Cone. Home assignment will be given to the student
6. INTERPENETRATION OF SURFACES................6 Hours
Intersecting cylinders, Intersection of Cone and cylinder, Intersection of two prisms.
7. MACHINE PARTS................6 Hours
8. COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING (AutoCAD)................6 Hours
Introduction : Cartesian and Polar Co-ordinate system, Absolute and Relative Co-ordinates;
Basic editing Commands : Line, Point, Trace, Rectangle, Polygon, Circle, Arc, Ellipse, Polyline;
Basic editing Commands : Basic Object Selection Methods, Window and Crossing Window, Erase, Move, Copy, Offset, Fillet, Chamfer, Trim, Extend, Mirror ;
Display Commands : Zoom, Pan, Redraw, Regenerate;Simple dimensioning and text, Simple exercises.
