Note: Answer ALL Questions.
1. a) Draw the locus of a point P which moves in a plane in such a way that the ratio of its distances from a fixed point F and a fixed straight line AB is always 2/3. The distance between the fixed point F and fixed straight line is 50 mm. Also draw a tangent and normal on a point on the locus at a horizontal distance of 55 mm from the fixed straight line. 20 marks

1. b) Draw free hand sketches of the front, top and right side views of the object shown in Fig. 1. 20 marksAns: Refer problems 7.1-7.11 Page 7.10-7.13 of ED - Basant Agrawal, TMH.
2. a) The projections of a line measures 80 mm in the top view and 70 mm in the front view. The mid-point of the line is 45 mm in front of V.P. and 35 mm above H.P. One end is 10 mm in front of V.P. and nearer to it. The other end is nearer to H.P. Draw the projections of the line. Find the true length and true inclinations. 20 marks

2. b) A square lamina ABCD of 40 mm side rests on the corner C such that the diagonal AC appears to be at 30º to the V.P. in the top view. The two sides BC and CD containing the corner C make equal inclinations with the H.P. The surface of the lamina makes 45º with H.P. Draw the top and front views. 20 marks
Ans: Refer problem 10.14 Page 10.16 of ED - Basant Agrawal, TMH.
3. a) Draw the projections of a cone of base diameter 50 mm and axis of length 70 mm resting on the ground on one of its generators with the axis of cone parallel to V.P. 20 marks

3. b) A right regular hexagonal pyramid, edge of base 25 mm and height 50 mm, rests on one of its base edges on H.P. with its axis parallel to V.P. Draw the projections of the pyramid when its base makes a n angle of 45◦ to the H.P. 20 marksAns: Refer problem 11.1 Page 11.5 of ED - Basant Agrawal, TMH.
4. a) A square pyramid of base side 25 mm and height 40 mm rests on H.P. with its base edges equally inclined to V.P. It is cut by a plane perpendicular to V.P. and inclined at 30◦ to H.P. meeting the axis at 21 mm from the base. Draw the sectional top view an d true shape of the section. 20 marks

4. b) A vertical hexagonal prism of 30 mm side of base and axis 65 mm long has one of its rectangular faces parallel to V.P. and nearer to it. A circular hole of 40 mm diameter is drilled through the prism completely such that the axis of the hole bisects the axis of the prism at right angles and is perpendicular to V.P. Draw the development of the prism showing the shape of the hole on it. 20 marks
